  • THE COLE GROUP
The web site of the purveyors of this very newswire has been redesigned to provide users with easier access to the large compendium of newspaper and publishing technology information The Cole Group makes available on-line.

The new design -- available at http://colegroup.com -- incorporates a new navigational interface as well as reorganized sections.

The complete back issues of THE COLE PAPERS and NEWSINC. -- the Cole Group's two print newsletters -- as well as all the back issues of this electronic newsletter are now available on-line (access to the print newsletters is restricted to their subscribers).

In addition, the opening page of the site now contains a newspaper industry stock market graphic, provided by Media General Financial Services of Richmond, Va. The graphic shows a composite index of newspaper stocks versus the Dow Jones Industrial Average, as well as the industry's price/earnings ratio and a comparison with the overall stock market's price/earnings ratio.

The Cole Group's web site has been available since April 1995.

  • THE COLE PAPERS
Dizzyland awaits newspaper technologists and executives who will trek to NEXPO '98, writes David M. Cole, editor and publisher of THE COLE PAPERS, the monthly newsletter of technology, journalism and publishing. The June issue previews 65 companies exhibiting this year, designating seven as the booths to see.

Innovation will bubble across the floor June 20-23 in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. New products abound, as do companies new to NEXPO, while long-time exhibitors are returning with new -- and tried-and-true -- offerings of their own.

Copies of the June issue of THE COLE PAPERS will be widely available at many booths. Pick up a copy to get the best map of the show floor -- the ninth edition, in color as always, will help you get oriented and plan your show time better.

For more about the June issue of THE COLE PAPERS, visit The Cole Group on the Web at http://colegroup.com/.
