    San Francisco-based Canto, a supplier of media management tools, has shipped its new Windows-based version of Cumulus 4.0. Available in seven languages, Cumulus can assist in smoothing workflow with its search and categorization capabilities.

    An upgrade for the Mac version starts at $494 for a five-client license; the Windows version is $2495.

    CCI, a publishing systems supplier based in Aarhus, Denmark, with U.S. offices in Kennesaw, Ga., has announced the sale of a CCI NewsDesk Editorial and Pagination System to USA TODAY (1.6m, morning). CCI will replace a 15-year-old Atex front-end and take USA TODAY into daily editorial pagination. The system will handle 550 users at USA TODAY using an Oracle database running on IBM RS/6000 hardware.

    Optronics, an imaging systems supplier based in Chelmsford, Mass., has announced that Kubota Electronic America Corp. (KEAC) of San Jose, Calif., will sell Optronics' computer-to-plate (CTP) systems and related products as turnkey solutions integrated with KEAC products.

    KEAC will integrate Optronics' Aurora and Electra external drum CTP systems, screening technologies and Color Production System with KEAC's file servers, storage devices and networking products.

    KEAC also will sell ColorGetter Falcon, Hawk, Osprey and Eagle drum scanners made by Optronics.

    TV Week Interactive is an on-line television listings database, which users can search for programming information over a two-week period and create personalized listings grids and logs.
