SOFTWARE CONSULTING SERVICES
The CHICAGO TRIBUNE (700k) has announced that it has installed Software Consulting Services' SCS/ClassPag classified advertising pagination system. The paper said the installation was "on time and within budget."
The TRIBUNE produces 38 classified products and publishes an average of 60 to 70 pages of classifieds per day. The products include a combination of ROP banners, zoned classified sections, color and other features.
Engineered to be platform-independent, SCS/ClassPag runs on Sun Solaris at the CHICAGO TRIBUNE and interfaces to an existing System/55 classified system from Net-Linx Publishing Solutions of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Sacramento.
Software Consulting Services, based in Nazareth, Pa., is on the Web at http://www.newspapersystems.com/.
